Habtoor Polo produced a commanding performance to defeat Ghantoot 13–9 and claim the title of the Ghantoot International Polo Championship, the final tournament of the season hosted by Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The championship match was played on Saturday, March 7.
This year’s edition of the competition was contested at a 16-goal level, reduced from the traditional 20-goal format to encourage wider participation from teams and organizations.
Both finalists earned their places in the championship match with convincing semifinal victories. Habtoor Polo secured their spot with a strong 12–9 win over El Basha, while Ghantoot advanced after an impressive 18–11.5 victory against Abu Dhabi.
The final also served as a rematch of the 2025 championship game. Ghantoot, the defending champions, entered the match determined to retain their title and maintained control for large parts of the contest. However, Al Habtoor mounted a decisive comeback, driven by the outstanding performance of Carlos “Toly” Ulloa, whose leadership and scoring ability proved crucial in guiding Habtoor Habtoor Polo ’s team to victory.
With the 13–9 triumph, Habtoor Polo lifted the trophy and concluded the tournament as deserved champions.
